Piano sound

The piano sound in tutorials and Shorts that link to this page uses Salamander Grand Piano by Alexander Holm, sampled from a Yamaha C5.

The samples are provided through the Tone.js audio collection under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported licence (CC BY 3.0). See the original sample credits and full licence, including its warranty disclaimer.

Our playback applies pitch resampling, release envelopes and room reflections. Tone.js supplies the distributed samples; Alexander Holm is their creator. No endorsement is implied.

This sample licence applies to the piano recordings, not to the songs being taught. Songs and compositions remain the work of their respective creators.

Score dataset — PDMX

Our PDMX-based tutorials use PDMX by Phillip Long, Zachary Novack, Julian McAuley and Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick, from the pinned Zenodo release (record 15571083), licensed under CC BY 4.0. The full licence includes its warranty disclaimer.

Changes: score data is converted into a sampled piano performance and a synchronized falling-note visualization. Shorts, Reels and TikTok posts use excerpts. Any additional arrangement-specific changes and required attribution are identified with the relevant post.

The dataset licence does not replace the individual score licence or independently grant rights in underlying compositions. Required arrangement-specific credits remain in each relevant description. Public-domain and CC0 arrangements do not receive optional individual attribution.

No creator, dataset author or distributor is implied to endorse this channel.
